North Providence – Robert Howe, 54, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, a son of SFC E7 Robert K. Howe, U.S. Army (Ret.) of Pawtucket and the late Therese I. (McPhee) Howe, he resided in Pawtucket until moving to North Providence five years ago. Bob was a firefighter for twenty years in the City of Pawtucket before retiring as a Lieutenant in 2007. He served as Chief of the Nasonville Fire District of Burrillville from 2014 until 2016 and was also the Emergency Management Director for North Providence. Most recently, he was a dispatcher for the Pawtucket and Central Falls Fire Departments. Bob served as a Vice-president of the Pawtucket Fireman’s Relief Association and was a member of the Pawtucket Public Safety Retiree’s Association.
