Robert Howe

North Providence – Robert Howe, 54, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 4, 2018.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany, a son of SFC E7 Robert K.

Army (Ret.) of Pawtucket and the late Therese I. (McPhee) Howe, he resided in Pawtucket until moving to North Providence five years ago.

Bob was a firefighter for twenty years in the City of Pawtucket before retiring as a Lieutenant in 2007.

He served as Chief of the Nasonville Fire District of Burrillville from 2014 until 2016 and was also the Emergency Management Director for North Providence.

Most recently, he was a dispatcher for the Pawtucket and Central Falls Fire Departments.

Bob served as a Vice-president of the Pawtucket Fireman’s Relief Association and was a member of the Pawtucket Public Safety Retiree’s Association.

He received numerous Awards and Citations including the prestigious Pawtucket Fire Department Medal of Heroism; Firehouse Heroism and Community Service Award; Veterans of Foreign Wars Life Saving Service Award and was inducted into the PFIA Heroes Hall Of Fame.

Besides his father, he leaves his former wife, Ann Marie (Wildenhain) Howe and their children, Kathryn V.

Howe all of Pawtucket.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Mt.

Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

VISITATION will be Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Pawtucket Fireman’s Relief Association, 155 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.
