Woonsocket – Robert E.

Horton, Jr., 66, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

He was the beloved husband of Manuela G. (Gavrilescu) Horton.

Born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Robert E. and Camilla (White) Horton, he resided in Woonsocket for the past twenty years.

Bob was a graduate of Bryant College.

He was a Nursing Home Administrator for forty years, most recently at The Holiday, Manville for nineteen years until leaving in 2012.

An avid golfer, he was a member of the Rehoboth Country Club for many years and made a hole-in-one.

Bob was very creative, he was an amazing photographer and loved animals, reading and gardening.

He was a former member of the Board of Directors and a Past-president of the Rhode Island Healthcare Alliance.

Besides his wife, he leaves a sister, Candy Stewart and cousins, Carol Furber, Erica Jacobsen, Janis Horton and Derek Horton.

He was the nephew of the late Kenneth Horton.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

VISITATION will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m.
