Grocott Sr., formerly of Seekonk and a resident of Middletown, RI since 2011, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on September 5th, 1935, Robert lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others.
Robert was the proprietor and pharmacist of the former Brennan's Pharmacy on Central Avenue in Seekonk, where he worked tirelessly to provide care and support to all his customers.
His commitment to his community and his warm, compassionate nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
He frequently spent time in upstate New York with family before settling in Middletown, RI, in 2011, to make his home with his son, Robert, Jr.
He was a loving family man, devoted to his children, Robert A.
Grocott, Jr. and his wife, Wai Ha, of Middletown, Mark Grocott and his partner, Monique, of Edmeston, NY, and Allan Grocott and his wife, Susan, of Seekonk.
He was also the proud grandfather of Jay, Joanna, Kelsey, Olivia, and Alyssa, and cherished his role as great-grandfather to Lucas and Penelope.
His sister, Grace Girouard of New York, survives him, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George A.
Grocott and Ester E. (Corbett) Grocott, as well as his siblings, Lillian Snatchell and John Grocott.
His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with them.
Graveside services at Seekonk Cemetery in Seekonk will be private, honoring Robert's wishes for a quiet, intimate farewell with his family.
Flowers are respectfully omitted and Robert's family requests donations in his memory be made to New York State 4 H Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to William W.
Tripp Funeral Home in Pawtucket.
