Palm Springs, CA – Robert W.

Gervais, 77, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Jeannette B. (Pruneau) Gervais.

Upon graduation in 1965 from Hope High School, Providence, Robert became a Brother of the Poor of St.

He studied nursing at the Community College of Rhode Island and worked as a registered nurse for the VA Medical Center, Providence.

Robert relocated to California in 1979 and continued his work with patients at the Martinez VA Medial Center in Northern California until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed socializing, dining out and spending time with friends.

He is survived by his brother, Ronald Gervais of Pawtucket; an uncle, Normand Pruneau and his wife, Janet, of North Providence and several cousins.

He was the nephew of the late Lillian Fortier, Theresa Walsh and Wilfred Pruneau.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church of St.

John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
