Robert E. Fontaine

Attleboro – Robert E. Fontaine, 77 of South Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 after a long battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by his loving family; a testament to the love he shared his entire life. He was the beloved husband of Lucille J. (Major) Fontaine for 55 years. Born in Pawtucket, RI and a longtime resident of Seekonk, MA, he was a son of the late Leo and Ida (Dorais) Fontaine. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Linda J. Toupin of North Attleboro, MA and Donna M. Goodnow of Warwick, RI and three sons, Robert K. Fontaine of Merrimack, NH, Stephen M. Fontaine of Attleboro and David M. Fontaine of Dedham, MA. His greatest treasure and joy were his family, including 14 grandchildren ranging from age 27 to soon to be born twins. Nothing made him happier than sharing life’s special moments, and also the everyday ones, with his family. He takes these cherished memories with him for eternity.
