Robert J. Fernandes, Sr.

Pawtucket – Robert J. Fernandes, Sr., 75, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Maureen C. (Welsh) Fernandes for 58 years. Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Correia) Fernandes. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Besides his loving wife, he leaves his children, Leslie A. Jones of Swansea and Robert J. Fernandes, Jr. of Rehoboth, and the late Paul and David P. Fernandes; four grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Jones, Justine and Andrew Fernandes; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou Ventura of Bristol and many nieces and nephews. VISITATION will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by Services at 3 p.m. in CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will be private.
