Robert Choiniere

East Providence - Robert Choiniere, 98, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Rita D. (Medeiros) Choiniere and the late Virginia A. (Ahern) Choiniere.  Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Albert J. and Orilda B. (Mayer) Choiniere, he resided in East Providence before moving to Danielson, CT in 2001, he returned to East Providence in January 2022. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a mixologist for Whittaker Chemical Products, East Providence, for thirty-two years before retiring in 1987.  Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Elaine F. Watkins and her husband, Lewis, of Pawtucket; a son, Kenneth W. Choiniere and his wife, Margaret, of Seekonk; three grandchildren, Timothy Watkins and his wife, Carolyn, Marsha McKinley and her husband, Andrew, and Katelyn Salum and her husband, Daniel; five great-grandchildren, Abigail Watkins, Emily Watkins, Natalie Watkins, Mia McKinley and Landon Salum, and many nieces and nephews.
