Robert J. Bessette

Pawtucket – Robert J. Bessette, 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Lea R. (Dame) Bessette. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Dora (Ranalli) Bessette. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was an owner of the Foxon Packaging Co., Providence until retiring. He was an Honorary Life member and former Trustee of the Tri-City Elks Lodge No. 14; Past-President of the Wampanoag Rod & Gun Club and a former member of the Attleboro Foreman’s Club. He leaves his four children, Robert J. Bessette, Jr. and his wife Susan of Seekonk, Cynthia A. Jacob and her husband Roland of Coventry, Linda A. Fiske and her husband Earl of North Smithfield and Douglas J. Bessette of Pawtucket. He is also survived by five grandchildren. He was the father of the late Timothy J.
