Berard, Sr., 89, formerly of South Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, with his family by his side.

He was the husband of the late Lois A. (Merow) Berard, who passed away in 1985.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Leo and Doris (Leveille) Berard.

Bob was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and went on to a career as a maintenance engineer at Texnor Apex in Hebronville, for over forty years until his retirement, and was a longtime member of the South Attleboro Knights of Columbus, Council 5876.

In his free time Bob enjoyed traveling and cruising, cooking and entertaining his family and many friends.

Above all, he was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past eighty-nine years.

Bob leaves three children, Robin Petrarca and her husband, James, of Pawtucket, Ronald Berard and his wife, Beverly, of Johnston, and Rhonda Derbyshire of Pawtucket; a sister, Theresa Routhier and her husband, George, of Westerly; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Robert Berard, Jr, grandfather of the late Nicholas Berard and the brother of the late Leo and Donald Berard.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Thursday, May 16th from 10 a.m. to Noon at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, SERVICES will follow at Noon in the funeral home.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
