Robert Francis Benabio, 89, of Pawtucket, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. He was the loving husband of Veronica Claire (Gaudreau) Benabio. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late August and Margaret (McGinn) Benabio.

Robert honorably served in the United States Army and worked as a Mechanic for Gus’s Garage and Auto Sales, specializing in transmissions. Devoted to his family, Robert enjoyed working with his father and was a diligent caretaker to his mother, whom he loved dearly. He was a dedicated husband, best friend, and confidant to his wife, Veronica, for over sixty-one years.

Alongside his wife, Veronica Claire (Gaudreau) Benabio of Pawtucket, he is survived by his niece, Tracie Benabio-Pelland, his great-nephews, Nicholas Benabio and Jerry Pelland, Jr, his great-niece, Isabella Pelland, his sister-in-law, Susan Benabio, and many cherished friends.

He was the brother of the late Richard A. Benabio, Sr. and Judith Benabio.

His Funeral Arrangements are private and entrusted to the WILLIAM W. TRIPP FUNERAL HOME, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket.
