Pawtucket – Robert A. Charpentier, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019. He was the husband of Frances M. (Caulfield) Charpentier, married in 1959. A long time resident of Pawtucket, Bob grew up in Central Falls. Bob was a son of the late Armand and Marie (Therrien) Charpentier. Bob was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and went on to work as an electrician for the former New England Telegraph and Telephone Company, he retired from Verizon. He also worked for a time as a television and radio repairman. In his younger days, Bob enjoyed freshwater fishing and more recently genealogy research into his family’s ancestry, tracing it back to the 1700’s in Normandy. He also enjoyed backyard bird watching and singing with various local choirs. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Michael A. Charpentier of Saunderstown, James P. Charpentier of Pawtucket and Andrew S. Charpentier and his wife, Margaret of North Kingstown. He was the brother of the late Lawrence and Richard Charpentier. His...
