Rita F. Marot

Pawtucket – Rita F. (Sevigny) Marot, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest B. Marot. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Juliette (Sevigny) Begin. Rita worked for over twenty-five years as a waitress at the former East Side Checker Club in Pawtucket. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Scrabble, dancing, making arts & crafts, completing puzzles and above all spending time with her cherished family. Rita leaves three children, Anne-Marie Sullivan and her husband, Bill, Mark Marot and his wife, Christa and Lynda Salois and her partner, Don; a son-in-law, Mike Riley; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Raymond Marot and Lorraine Riley, and the sister of the late Juliette (Begin) Hanley. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. SOCIAL DISTANCING AND MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED TO...
