Rita T. Lanoue

Pawtucket – Rita T. (Vary) Lanoue, 98, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024.

She was the former wife of the late Capt.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Darius Vary and Dora (St.

Rita was the office manager of Dance Workshop Performing Arts, North Providence, for twenty years until retiring, and was previously a chef and nursing assistant at Manchester Nursing Home, Pawtucket.

Rita enjoyed playing cards, especially High-low-jack and was a member of many High-low-jack leagues.

She also enjoyed Bingo and spending time with her many friends at the Johnston Senior Center.

In her younger years, she enjoyed Ballroom dancing.

She leaves a son, Robert R.

Lanoue and his wife, Sharon, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; two daughters, Constance R.

Conca and her husband, Alfred, of North Providence and Lisa A.

Gallagher and her husband, James, of Johnston; six grandchildren, Robert Lanoue, Jr. and his wife, Christy, Jennifer Ringland and her husband, Scott, Brad Lanoue and his wife, Nanette, David Conca, Melanie Marrello and Desiree Jackvony-Testa and her husband, Joseph Testa; seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She also leaves her companion, Vincent Ballirano of Johnston.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church of St.

John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will be private.

VISITATION will be held on Wednesday, August 7th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
