Pawtucket – Rita (Matook) Karneeb-Sayegh, 102, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 9, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Abraham Karneeb and George Sayegh.   Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Wadi and Esma (Zeytoun) Matook, she moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1947 and returned to Pawtucket in 1989. Rita was a seamstress for Della-Ann Lingerie Co., Brooklyn, NY before retiring in 1979 and was previously employed by Royal Weaving and Standard Romper. She leaves a brother, Samuel R. Matook and his wife, Kay; a sister, Marie David all of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rose Affsa, Ida Carlos, Emily Albert, George and Frederick Matook. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High St., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
