In Loving Memory of Rita (LeFort) Guevremont

Rita Guevremont, 79, born in N. Attleboro, MA, passed away on July 4, 2026, in Anderson, SC carrying with her the deepest love of her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene A. Guevremont, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a foundation grounded in love, faith, and unwavering strength; an enduring testament that continues to guide their family and uphold the values they entrusted to future generations.

Rita is lovingly remembered by her three children: her sons, Michael Guevremont of Winchester, Virginia, and Paul Guevremont (Susan) of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; and her daughter, Denise (Steve) Howe of Anderson, South Carolina. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren and a great-grandmother to six great grandchildren, with one more precious blessing expected soon.

She is also survived by her siblings: Armand (Lee) LeFort of Statesboro, Georgia; Brother-in-law (Robert) Flowers of Campbell, Ohio; Roger LeFort of Manchester, New Hampshire; Yvette Marshall of East Providence, Rhode Island; and Doris McKenna of Sun City, Arizona.

She was the daughter of the late Eugene LeFort and Coronna (Giguere) LeFort and sister of the late Bernadette Flowers of Campbell, Ohio.

Throughout her career as a dedicated bookkeeper, Rita was known for her remarkable organization, precision, and steadfast work ethic. She took great pride in helping every business she worked for succeed. Her work at several funeral homes extended far beyond the call to serve. Working quietly behind the scenes, she provided comfort and reassurance to countless families during some of life's most difficult moments. Her gentle presence and caring heart brought peace to those who needed it most.

Rita had an eye for beauty and was admired for her impeccable style and timeless elegance. She believed in giving back to her community and generously shared her time with organizations that were close to her heart. She was a member of the Women's Guild of our Lady of Consolation and the Independent Order of Foresters, a Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener, and volunteered with the Winchester Little Theatre and the Hurst Hospitality House. She also devoted herself to fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), always eager to help others.

Above all, Rita will be remembered for the way she made people feel. Her radiant smile, warm embrace, and genuine kindness left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She was praised as someone who could always be counted on and equally shared the extraordinary gift of her love. Though she will be deeply missed, Rita's spirit lives on in the lives she touched, the family she cherished, and the countless memories she created. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and grace that will be treasured by all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI. Calling hours will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for family and friends. A Mass and Celebration of Rita's life will follow at 11:00 am at St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI. Rita will be laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Ave., Pawtucket, RI.

On this day, we can all take comfort in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life, Eugene.... together once again, for eternity. She will also be reunited with her parents, sister Bernie and sister-in-law Judy.
