Rita M. Donnelly

Pawtucket - Rita M. (Turgeon) Donnelly passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Emil and Lillian (Benoit) Turgeon. As a young woman, Rita travelled abroad, living throughout Europe and the U.K. She returned home and married James Donnelly dedicating her life to raising their profoundly grateful daughters: Deborah, Barbara, Colleen, Sharon and Lisa. Rita was very involved in her church and in her community. She was a member of St. Teresa Church Choir for many years and Past President of the Parents' Auxiliary at St. Raphael Academy. She was inspired by the arts and loved to travel, read, care for her beautiful garden and spend time by the ocean. Rita adored her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Most of all, Rita had a natural way of being there for others: giving advice, solving problems and always going out of her way to help.
