North Providence - Richard "Rick" J.

Papineau, 66, passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2025.

He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Ortiz) Papineau.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Raymond H. and Mary E. (Roach) Papineau, he resided in North Providence most of his life.

Rick's pride and joy were his children, Jessica Papineau, Kelly Papineau, and Luis Ortiz, who will remember him as a loving and supportive father.

His legacy continues with his beloved grandchildren, Juliana Emerson, Michael Emerson, and Benjamin Richard Emerson, for whom he was a doting grandfather.

A talented craftsman, Rick never shied away from a project, always eager to design and create.

Among his many hobbies, he found great joy in sailing, the open water providing solace and adventure.

Music was both a passion and a soundtrack to his life, and he had a unique talent for designing programs.

For over twenty years, Rick was employed at Greystone of Lincoln.

He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and a loving extended family, including his siblings: Raymond Papineau, Janet Papineau, Donna Shakel, Betty Traghella, and Susan Patterson, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

He was the brother of the late Robert Papineau.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Services at 12:00 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Ave., Pawtucket.

Rick will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit sails on, carried by the winds and the waves he so dearly loved.
