Pawtucket – Richard “Rick” Jean, 71, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of Donna L. (Winward) Jean for forty-six years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alfred, Sr., and Edith (Alger) Jean.
Rick worked as a machine operator at the former NEPTCO, Inc., Pawtucket, for nearly thirty years prior to semi-retiring.
He concluded his career at Stop & Shop, Cumberland, where he worked as a porter and looked forward to his daily, morning shift.
Rick was a lifetime resident of Pawtucket and was a communicant of both, St.
Joseph Church and St.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and coaching youth sports throughout the community.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by two children, Jennifer Letourneau and her husband, Jered, and Matthew Jean and his companion, Marilyn Crump, all of Pawtucket; a grandson, Jackson Letourneau; six siblings, Edith Domingo of Cumberland, Arthur Jean of Lincoln, Phyllis Devries of Pawtucket, Dorothy Levasseur of Texas, Edward Jean of West Warwick and Elaine Shaffer of Pawtucket.
He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was the brother of the late Alfred, Jr., Shirley and Helen.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
