West Warwick – Richard F.
McCluskie, Sr., 79, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. (McAloon) McCluskie for 57 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Frances (Bedard) McCluskie.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran and he was a sales representative in the jewelry industry.
He worked many years at George Fuller & Sons and Aro-Sac until his retirement.
He served on the Pawtucket City Council as a Councilman-at-Large through the 1970’s and was also a President of the Darlington American Little League.
Richard was a longtime communicant of St.
Teresa Church, Pawtucket, where he served on various committees and councils.
Besides his loving wife, Richard leaves two daughters, Jo-Anne Winters of Pawtucket and MaryAnne Carter and her husband, Mike, of North Kingstown; a son, Richard F.
McCluskie, Jr. and his late wife, Lisa, of North Providence; eight grandchildren, Keith, Dillon and Ryan McCluskie, Michael and Jamie Winters, and Brady, Lauren and Tyler Carter; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jordan Winters; two brothers, Thomas McCluskie and his wife, Karen of Smithfield and Peter McCluskie and his wife Jeanne, of Warwick; a brother-in-law, John McAloon, of Kissimmee, FL and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Joseph McCluskie of Prattville, AL.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Visitation will be Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to The Tomorrow Fund, RI Hospital Campus, 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
