Richard "Dick" L. Benoit

Pawtucket – Richard “Dick” L. Benoit, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne M. (Rancourt) Benoit for sixty-two loving years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Doris (Mayer) Benoit. Dick was a longtime, faithful communicant of St. Cecilia Church, Pawtucket, and a lifelong resident of the city. He was a skilled, master carpenter and worked for Housing Systems, Inc., Pawtucket, for over twenty-five years until his retirement. Dick was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for over fifty years. A family man through and through, Dick’s hobbies consisted of attending every single one of his grandchildren’s extracurricular activities, and never missed a graduation for any of the grandchildren’s milestones. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid crossword and sudoku player. Dick was a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox sports fan, especially if they were winning.
