Richard J. Garrott

Attleboro, MA - Richard J. Garrott, 87, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was the loving husband of Carolann D. (Plante) Garrott. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late James and Jenny (Marsden) Garrott.

Richard honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and continued his service as a Seekonk Police Department as a sergeant until his retirement. An avid hot rod and motorcycle enthusiast, he was a former member of the Bristol County Hot Rod Association. Richard also loved music and was known as "DJ DG" and among many of his fellow Seekonk Police officers as, "Sha Na Na".

Alongside his wife, he leaves behind his beloved children, James Garrott (Sally) of Seekonk, MA and Cheryl Portella of Providence, and grandchildren, Matthew and Kassandra Garrott, Michael Coleman, and Kayla MacDougall.

Funeral Arrangements are private and entrusted to the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
