Glocester – Richard A. Brousseau, 67, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, November 20, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Georgette R. Dupuis-Brousseau, to whom he was married for thirty-one years. Richard was born in 1955 to the late C. Normand and Simonne (Fredette) Brousseau in Central Falls, RI. He married Georgette in June 1991 and moved to Glocester in January 1992. Richard was an attorney for the office of the Rhode Island Public Defender for the majority of his career. He was well-loved by his family, friends, and colleagues for his kindness, generosity, and dry humor. Richard had many interests and hobbies, including collecting antiques and artwork and walking on the beach. Besides his loving wife, he leaves one daughter, Simonne A. Brousseau and her husband, Daniel A. Gogue, of Falls Church, VA, and he was the father of the late Richard C.N. Brousseau.
