*Rescheduled* Alice M. Taylor

Alice M. (Bessette) Taylor, 94, formerly of Bristol and Providence, passed away peacefully in Warwick on Monday, February 19, 2024. Named in the French-Canadian tradition, Marie Rose Alice was born on December 16, 1929, in Pawtucket to Joseph E. and Alice M. (McDuff) Bessette. The youngest of five, she was the sister of the late Loretta Gruslin, Rita M. Allen, Eugene J. Bessette, and Maurice J. Bessette. She was the beloved wife of the late James W. Taylor, Jr. who passed away in 2007. The couple married in 1953 at Our Lady of Consolation Church, Pawtucket, RI. They shared an interest in ballroom dancing, often attending several local dances a week. Their children and grandchildren recall how their house in Bristol was the site of many 4th of July gatherings.  Alice faced life changes and challenges with stoicism and a look to the future.
