Rene J. Fortin

Pawtucket - Rene J. Fortin, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Aline A. (Ratté) Fortin for nearly sixty-five years. He was the son of the late Aldemand and Victoria (Leonard) Fortin. Rene started his career as a master plumber working in the family business, A. Fortin & Sons Plumbing and Heating. He retired his trade after more than forty years in 1996. Rene and his late wife enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida and the summers in Canada with family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and had a passion for horses. Rene loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. He is survived by two loving daughters, Susan Fortin of Attleboro and Jacqueline Desorcy and her husband, Ronald, also of Attleboro; two beloved granddaughters, Nicole Nunes of Attleboro and Stephanie Brown of South Bend; seven adoring great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Camryn, Mackenna and Mason Nunes...
