Rene G. Fontaine

Haverhill, MA – Rene G. Fontaine, 83, a retired social worker, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marylyn G. Ippolito for thirty-six years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Leo J. and Ida A. (Dorais) Fontaine. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael A. Fontaine and his wife, Amy and Anthony L. Fontaine; a granddaughter, Scarlett C. Fontaine all of Haverhill; a sister, Lucille Clement of Pawtucket; a brother, Norman Fontaine in California; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Yvette, Roger “Pete”, Gerard and Robert Fontaine. VISITATION will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by Services at noon at the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. CheethamFuneralHome.com
