Raymond F. Hayes

Raymond “Ray” Hayes, 86   Seekonk – Raymond F. Hayes, 86, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor L. (Corrigan) Hayes for 58 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Timothy J. and Maude J. (Murtha) Hayes. He resided in Seekonk, MA since 1967. Ray was a Korean War U.S. Navy veteran. He attended WPI and was very proud that four of his grandchildren followed in his footsteps. Ray was a Configuration Specialist for Raytheon for over 30 years until retiring in 1992 and was also a Seekonk Special Police Officer. Ray was an avid hiker and skier and loved spending time at his home in New Hampshire. His faith and Church were very important to him and he was a recipient of the Marion Award from the Diocese of Fall River. Most of all, Ray was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family.
