Raymond P. Girard

Pawtucket – Raymond P. Girard, 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose M. (Federighi) Girard who passed in 2022. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Antonio and Laura (Thibideau) Girard.

Ray was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and went on to work at the former Washburn Wire Co., in Rumford for many years until his retirement. Ray was a sports enthusiast and avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was proud to note that he was a member of the first graduating class (1952) of Pawtucket Vocational Technical High School, which later became Davies High School in Lincoln. Ray also enjoyed playing cribbage with his family and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past ninety-three years.

Raymond leaves six children, Robert Girard of Taunton, William Girard, James Girard and his wife, Debra, of Attleboro, Karen Bradshaw of Seekonk, Donna Tyler and her husband, Daniel, of Riverside, and David Girard and his wife, Lori, of Pawtucket; seven grandchildren, Eric Tyler, Lauryn Kiley, Steven Bradshaw, Jacob Girard, Abigail King, Elizabeth Bradshaw, and Jordan Girard, three great-grandchildren, Bennett Kiley, Liberty Tyler, and Brayden Kiley, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul and Rene Girard.

Services and interment with Military Honors at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery in Pawtucket will be private. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
