Fortier, 74, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016.

He was the beloved husband of Arlene G. (Stanlewicz) Fortier.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late J.

Raoul and Esther L. (Cloutier) Fortier, he resided in Stoughton before retiring to Attleboro in 2008.

Ray was a Nuclear Engineer with Stone & Webster / Shaw Industries, Boston for many years until retiring.

He was a Registered Professional Engineer; member of the American Nuclear Society and many other professional organizations.

Ray was a former member of the Jaycees.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Stanley Fortier and his wife, Cathy of North Carolina; three daughters, Brenda Tourony and her husband, Gary of East Douglas, Marian Fortier of Attleboro and Sharon O’Dea and her husband, Joseph of Attleboro; a brother, Gerald Fortier and his wife, Virginia of Attleboro; eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk.

Interment will follow at St.

Mark Cemetery, Jamestown, RI.

VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s Disease Association would be appreciated.
