PAWTUCKET — Raymond C.
Corvese, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24th, after a four-month illness.
Raymond and his wife Marilyn (Moline) Corvese had recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
He was predeceased by his parents, Carmine and Angela (Caruso) Corvese.
A lifelong Pawtucket resident, Raymond was a successful small businessman, owning a variety of businesses in and near the city, including a successful ice cream shop, liquor store, auto repair facility, flower shop, and janitorial service.
He continued servicing one final cleaning client right up until the onset of his illness last November.
He was an avid car buff who also loved to landscape his yard himself, but nothing meant more to Raymond than his family.
He adored his son and daughter and four grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Corvese, Jr., and his wife, Maria (Lakomski) of Cranston, and his daughter, Karen Mercer and her husband, Terrence of Pawtucket, as well as his grandchildren, Gabriella and Alexander Corvese, and Emily and Lauren Mercer.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Thursday, April 27th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
A Mass of Christian Burial at St.
Teresa Church in Pawtucket, followed by interment in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
