Rehoboth – Raymond F.
Brierly, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2011.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Raymond and Verna (Cook) Brierly.
Raymond was a member of UA Local # 51 (Plumbers & Pipefitters) for over 40 years and was the proprietor of R.F.
Brierly Mechanical Contractor Co., for 20 years and was the current owner & operator of Canoe Passage Outfitters.
Through his love for nature, he was a member of the Taunton River and Palmer River Watershed Alliances and the Rehoboth Conservation Commission.
As a member of Pawtucket Troop 1, he achieved the honor of Eagle Scout.
He was also a member of the Bristol Elks Lodge # 1860.
Besides his passion for canoeing he also loved basketball.
While a student, he was a member of the URI Basketball Team, and over the years had coached numerous basketball teams throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
He is survived by seven children; Jennifer Hennigan, Stephen, Christopher, Stacey, Raymond, William, Mary Brierly; seven grandchildren; a sister, Verna Derderian, and two brothers, Robert and Jack Brierly.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. in All Saints Anglican Church, 1180 S.
Main Street, Attleboro.
Interment will be private.
VISITATION Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.
