Cumberland - Reverend Raymond A. Beaulieu, 98, Pastor Emeritus of St. John Vianney Parish in Cumberland died Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Alfred and Marie Anne (Sirois) Beaulieu, he attended St. Cecilia School and St. Raphael Academy, both in Pawtucket, and Providence College. He completed studies for the priesthood at the Grand Seminaire de St. Brieuc, France, at St. Mary Seminary in Baltimore, and at Our Lady of Providence Seminary in Warwick. He was ordained to the priesthood on December 19, 1942 at the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence by Bishop Francis P. Keough. Father Beaulieu served as assistant pastor in the following parishes: St. John the Baptist, Pawtucket (1943-51); St. Peter, Warwick (1955-62); and St. Anthony, Providence (1962-67). During his time at St. Peter Parish, Father was the Regional Director of the Warwick Catholic Youth Organization (CYO).
