Phyllis L. Wrona

Seekonk – Phyllis L. (Wiegand) Wrona, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of Leo F.

The couple had been married for seventy years.

A lifelong resident of Seekonk, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Annie (Verrill) Wiegand.

Phyllis was a school bus driver for thirty-three years, spending the last fifteen years of her career employed by the Town of Seekonk.

She was a member of the Taunton Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In her earlier years, Phyllis enjoyed knitting, embroidery, sewing, baking and she made the best corn chowder.

Besides her loving husband, she leaves a son, David L.

Wrona and his wife, Michelle; two grandchildren, Kristin N.

Allard and her husband, Jason, and David M.

Wrona; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Juliet; a son-in-law, Howard Weaver, Jr.; two brothers, Rodney Wiegand and his wife, Joann, and Buddy Wiegand; nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Karen L.

Weaver and the grandmother of the late Johnathan D.

VISITATION will begin on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. followed by Services at 12 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Hospice Services of Massachusetts, 10 Riverside Drive, Lakeville, MA 02347 would be appreciated.
