Phyllis C. Allan

Pawtucket – Phyllis C. (Dickens) Allan, 79, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Scotty” Allan. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Gracie) Dickens, she moved to Pawtucket from Scotland in 1959. Phyllis was employed by the Rhode Island Textile Company over thirty years, retiring as a supervisor in 2002. She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth M. Phillips of Pawtucket, wife of the late Steven Phillips; two grandchildren, Stephanie E. Phillips and Jon R. Phillips both of Pawtucket; a great-grandson, Jordan S. Winters; a brother, Robert Dickens of Scotland and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Hastie. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
