Phillip J. Donnell

Pawtucket – Phillip J. Donnell, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023 surrounded by his family. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late George W., Sr. and Anna (Ghidelli) Donnell. Phil graduated from Tolman High School and was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the Providence VA Medical Center for twenty years. Phil continued his education at the former Becker College, Worcester, MA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. He worked for Sundance Rehabilitation as a therapist prior to retiring in 2001. Phil was an avid New York Yankee’s fan who enjoyed watching WWE and visiting the casino. He is survived by a daughter, who was his caretaker and resided with him, Tonimarie Donnell of Pawtucket; two adoring grandchildren, Jeffrey and Caitlyn LaRose, and a brother, George W.
