North Attleboro – Philip E. Manian, 68, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015. Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Samuel H. and Esther (Hoogasian) Manian. Philip had a 30 year career as a human resource assistant with the Personnel Support Activity Detachment at the U.S. Navy Base, Newport. He was a longtime member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church, Providence, where he also belonged to the Backgammon Club. Philip was an avid sports fan, frequently attending NE Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics games. He loved music and enjoyed attending many Grateful Dead and other classic rock concerts. Philip leaves two brothers, Samuel R. and Peter G. Manian, three nephews and a niece. VISITATION Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. at the CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence.
