Peter J. Soderlund

January 31, 1956 — April 14, 2023

Providence – Peter J.

Soderlund, 67, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Robin M. (Hallal) Soderlund for forty years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Carl, Sr. and Laura (Barlow) Soderlund.

Peter would be best described as a Renaissance Man who was blessed with many talents.

He was gifted with the craft of woodworking and could build anything with his own hands.

Peter was an amazing cook and studied culinary at Johnson and Wales University.

He was a talented baseball player and an avid golfer.

Peter was a Babe Ruth certified umpire, and spent many days behind home plate at parks throughout the state.

To call Peter smart would be an understatement – his intellect was Jeopardy worthy.

He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing laughs with everyone.

Most importantly, Peter was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, sibling and friend.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by four children, Rebecca Labonte Montanez of California, Laura Creamer of Lincoln, Karl Soderlund of Arizona and Jessica Soderlund of Providence; ten grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Aiden, Zack, Alex, Zoe, Mikale, Anthony, Zach and Adrian; a sister, Karen Rizzardini of Massachusetts and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was the brother of the late Carl, Jr. and Albert “Ted” Soderlund.

His funeral will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, beginning with visitation at 4:00 p.m. followed by Services at 6:00 p.m. in William W.

Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to American Cancer Society, P.O.

Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 would be appreciated.
