Peter G. Ross

Seekonk – Peter G. Ross, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 2, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Matthews) Ross for sixty-two years. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late George and Sophie (Papagonia) Ross. Peter resided in Pawtucket before moving to Seekonk in 1964 and proudly served in the United States Army. Before retiring from Amtrak, Peter had been employed by Conrail, the Providence and Worcester Railroad and Moshassuck Valley Railroad. Prior to his career with the railroad, he was a compositor at The Pawtucket Times and then at the Providence Journal. Peter attended the Memorial Baptist Church, Seekonk, where he had served on the Building Committee. He was previously a Deacon and active member of the former South Attleboro Assembly of God.
