Pawtucket – Peter W. Malloy, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Peter J. and Juliette (Sequin) Malloy. Peter was a United States Army veteran, having received the Purple Heart from injuries sustained in the Korean War. He was a proprietor of P&L Fruitland for many years and most recently was the manager of the Rhode Island Bureau of Investigation until his retirement. Peter was one of the founding members of the Pawtucket Slaterettes Baseball League and he enjoyed model railroading and attending local Native American Tribal Powwows.
