Barrington – Peter A.

Lazouras, 68, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 4, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Lori P. (Avella) Lazouras for nearly forty years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Andrew and Chrysanthe “Sue” (Staffopoulos) Lazouras.

Peter grew up in Pawtucket and graduated from Tolman High School in 1973.

He continued his education at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA, where he earned a degree in Music Education (B.M.).

Peter was an accomplished pianist and musician.

He worked as a music teacher for the Pawtucket School Department before changing his career to the food and restaurant equipment industry.

In his most recent occupation as a personal trainer at the Bayside Family YMCA, Barrington, he used his passion for health and fitness to make positive changes in the lives of his clients.

Peter was a lifelong parishioner of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, Pawtucket, and was very involved within the community.

He was an avid fisherman and diver and loved riding his motorcycle with his son.

His presence will be greatly missed by all the lives he has touched.

He was the beloved father of Andrew P.

Lazouras and his wife, Rebecca Henríquez; brother to Elizabeth “Beth” Lazouras; adoring uncle to a nephew, and several nieces, including his great niece and nephew; loving cousin to many.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation on Monday, December 11, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. in Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket.

Interment in the family plot at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.

The Lazouras family asks for donations to be directed to the repair of the Panagia Apse Fresco (please include the memo line “In memory of Peter Lazouras–RESTRICTED.” Donations can be made by check or online.
