Peter J. Bibby, Sr.

Providence – Peter J. Bibby, Sr., 72, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Sanchez) Bibby for thirty loving years. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Sydney, Sr. and Marjorie A. (Brabant) Bibby.
Peter was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era and went on to a career as self-employed HVAC technician for many years.
Besides his loving wife, Peter leaves nine children, Jeremy Bibby and his wife, Ashley, of Smithfield, Peter Bibby, Jr. and his wife, Maria, of North Scituate, Corey Bibby and his wife, Nichole, of Johnston, Michael McGovern and his wife, Sarah, of Glocester, Melissa Bibby of North Providence, Justin Bibby of East Greenwich, Diana Villegas and her husband, Jose, of Providence, Carlos Villegas and Erica Villegas both in Colombia; four siblings, David Bibby of Pawtucket, Stephen Bibby and his wife, Angela, of North Providence, Sydney Bibby, Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Attleboro, and Ria Kowal and her husband, Ray in Florida; many grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marianne Hardison.
VISITATION will be held on Wednesday, October 1st from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Committal Services will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
