Alexson, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late James and Bertha (Tourtas) Alexson, and the stepson of Donna Alexson of Lexington, Massachusetts.
Pete had resided in Cambridge for thirty-six years before settling in Rehoboth.
He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran.
Pete was a barber for fifty years, and was a barber at Rome’s Barber Shop, Plainville, Massachusetts for the past thirty-three years.
He enjoyed sketching, watching artists and taking drawing lessons.
Besides his stepmother, he leaves his former wife, Pamela J. (Benoit) Alexson of Rehoboth; two daughters and their spouses, Laura E. and Michael Spath of Rehoboth and Sarah C. and Sean Curry of Groveland, Massachusetts; a son, Timothy P.
Alexson and his fiancée, Courtney Vachon of Norton, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Sophia Curry, Jack Curry and Benjamin Spath; a brother, Rev.
George Alexson and his wife, Joanna in Virginia; a sister, Maria Alexson and her friend, Virginia Sprague of Malden, Massachusetts; a stepbrother, Lee Pappas and his wife, Jayne in Maine and nieces and nephews.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, followed by Services at 12 p.m. in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts.
VISITATION will be Sunday 2 to 5 p.m.
