She was the beloved wife of Stephen Girard for forty years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Dorothea (Lewis) Rego.
Paula-Jean worked as an expeditor for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA, and later at the former Morris Novelty in Pawtucket before retiring.
Paula-Jean and her husband enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors together.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Shawn Mahonec of Florida; a brother, John Rego, Sr. of Alaska, three sisters-in-law, Paula Levesque of Burrillville, Lori Pfiel of Attleboro and Shari Bitsis of Seekonk, MA; a brother-in-law, Arnold Fontaine of Pennsylvania and two nephews, John, Jr. and Mike Rego, both of Alaska.
She was the sister of the late Gerald Rego and sister-in-law of the late Carleen Connor.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Services on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Graveside interment with her late parents will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
VISITATION will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
