Paul D. Thomson, Jr.

d. January 17, 2025

Thomson, Jr., 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence.

He was the beloved husband of Tina M. (Casey) Thomson for twenty years.

Born in Boston, Paul resided in Lincoln all of his life.

He was the only son of the late Paul D., Sr. and Virginia L. (Wilson) Thomson.

Paul graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980 and went on to work for the Town of Lincoln Highway Department for over twenty-seven years.

He also served the town as a firefighter and EMT at the Lonsdale/Slatersville Station, a job which Paul loved very much and was very proud of.

Paul had a strong passion for anything mechanical, from steam engines to stationary gas engines, diesel engines to internal combustion gasoline engines, Model T and Model A Fords, tractors, mechanical clocks and early phonographs.

A true old soul in every sense of the saying, he could relate to anything from the early 1900’s through today.

Paul also loved listening to old timey music from the 1910’s through the late 1930’s, especially Jimmie Rodgers.

He certainly was a renaissance man, and a very talented mechanic, who was devoted to his family and many dear friends.

Paul will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past sixty-three years.

Besides his loving and devoted wife, Paul leaves his stepdaughter, Madeline Paulhus and her husband, Andre Jr. of Burrillville; siblings, Suzan Garrepy and her husband, Bob, Kristen Thomson, Tracey Ormonde and her husband, Kenneth, and Katherine Thomson; fourteen beloved grandchildren and many close friends.

He was the loving stepfather of the late Maurice L.

Cote Jr., who passed unexpectedly in 2014.
