Paul A. Roy

Seekonk – Paul A. Roy, 59, passed away peacefully at home with his family after a long illness, on Saturday, October 8, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Correia) Roy for 39 years. Born in Pawtucket to the late Charles and Gisele (St. Pierre) Roy, he lived in Seekonk for 33 years. He was a graduate of Providence College and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 29 years. Paul served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a dedicated volunteer over the years, as a coach for a number of town youth sports, and as the coordinator of the George R. Martin School Sports Day for several years. He also organized the Seekonk Over 35 Basketball League. Prior to his illness, he was a Hospice Volunteer and a Volunteer Tutor of English as a Second Language with Catholic Social Services, serving the immigrant community of New Bedford, MA.
