Pawtucket – Paul M. Plante, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Claire B. (Salois) Plante for sixty-six years. Born in the Hebronville section of Attleboro, one of twelve children of the late Arthur and Aurore (Denis) Plante, he resided in Pawtucket for the past sixty-six years. He attended Wentworth Institute, Boston and received his Associate Degree in Fire Science from CCRI. Paul was a firefighter with the Pawtucket Fire Department for twenty-three years until retiring as a Lieutenant in 1988. He was very involved with Boy Scout Troop 28 at St. Cecilia Church. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Cheryl A. Curran and her longtime companion, Bob Gentili and Donna M. Welch and her husband, Thomas, all of Pawtucket; a sister, Rita Konicki of Rumford; four grandchildren, Kelly McNulty, Eric Curran, Michael Paul and Kerrin MacDonald; six great-grandchildren, Emily, Kelsey, Kassidy, Brighton, Hattie and Gabriella and many nieces and nephews.
