Paul M. Plante

March 31, 1932 — October 19, 2017

Plante, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Claire B. (Salois) Plante for sixty-six years.

Born in the Hebronville section of Attleboro, one of twelve children of the late Arthur and Aurore (Denis) Plante, he resided in Pawtucket for the past sixty-six years.

He attended Wentworth Institute, Boston and received his Associate Degree in Fire Science from CCRI.

Paul was a firefighter with the Pawtucket Fire Department for twenty-three years until retiring as a Lieutenant in 1988.

He was very involved with Boy Scout Troop 28 at St.

Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Cheryl A.

Curran and her longtime companion, Bob Gentili and Donna M.

Welch and her husband, Thomas, all of Pawtucket; a sister, Rita Konicki of Rumford; four grandchildren, Kelly McNulty, Eric Curran, Michael Paul and Kerrin MacDonald; six great-grandchildren, Emily, Kelsey, Kassidy, Brighton, Hattie and Gabriella and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Albert, Roland, Henry, Joseph Leo, Ernest and Eugene Plante, Claire LeBeau, Irene Laberge, Marie Charron and Theresa Delaney.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave.

Interment will follow at St.

Stephen Cemetery, Attleboro.

VISITATION will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m.
