Seekonk

Seekonk - Paul E. Goudreau, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at Advent Hospital in Florida, surrounded by those who loved him deeply.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife of 36 years, Debra; his son, Gregory; his son-in-law, Craig; his brothers, George, Richard, and Albert; and his sisters, Claire, Jean, and Teresa.

He is survived by his loving daughters: Michelle Cooke of Seekonk; Lori Smith and her husband James of Pawtucket; and Kathryn Levy and her husband Justin of Seekonk. He was a proud grandfather to Justin and his wife Shannon, Kyle and his wife Liana, Emma, Katlyn, Rylee, Winnie, and Jacob, and a cherished great-grandfather to Desmond, Carlo, Nora, and Jack. Paul also leaves behind his devoted companion, Amy Hurst, and his siblings, Marie, Bernadette, Rita, and David, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Paul proudly served in the United States Navy for six years. He was the owner and proprietor of Paul Goudreau’s Texaco in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a business that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to his community. He was a longtime member of the Seekonk Rod and Gun Club and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #1014.

Anything Paul did, he did with gusto. He proclaimed his faith proudly and was a devoted Catholic who served as a role model to many. Our anchor, our bedrock, and our greatest source of love, Paul was a communicant at any parish he was able to attend. Affectionately known as “Goodie,” he also loved to sing his heart out with Le Gais Chanteurs, a French singing group he enjoyed meeting with regularly.

Paul had many interests, including deep-sea fishing, gardening, and working on cars. He loved relaxing at the beach, especially Briggs Beach in Little Compton. Above all else, his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends—including his ever-faithful granddog, Rondo.
