South Attleboro – Patricia A. (Campbell) Hale, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Francis, Sr. and Gertrude P. (McKenna) Campbell.
Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Sacred Heart High School.
She married Robert C.
Hale, Sr. on May 10, 1958 and celebrated fifty-four years together until his passing in 2012.
Hale worked as an executive assistant at the former Handy & Harman of Attleboro for many years prior to retirement.
She and her late husband moved to Fort Myers Beach, Florida in 1990, where they enjoyed walking the beach, fishing off their dock and taking their boat out around the islands.
Upon her husband’s passing, Patricia returned to South Attleboro.
Patricia enjoyed fixing and building things, and was dubbed “Mrs.
Fixit” by her sons, who jokingly would give her power tools on Father’s Day.
She was a woman of strength and endurance, having raised five boys and winning a battle against breast cancer, having been diagnosed thirty-one years ago.
Patricia’s smile and tenacious spirit will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly.
She is survived by five sons, James, David and his significant other, Bev Wilkins, Kevin and his wife, Paulette, Steven and his significant other, Beth Kelley and Robert, Jr., all of South Attleboro; four grandchildren, Sabrina (Hale) Martin and her husband, Tyler, and their four children, Camden, Trenton, Kensington, and Bradenton, Kelly (Hale) Riera and her husband, Francisco, and their two children, Dylan and Kyle, Robert Hale, III and Brian Hale; daughter-in-law Nancy Hale, of South Attleboro and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Gertrude Anderson and Pauline Collins, both formerly of Tempe, AZ, and Frank Campbell, Jr., formerly of Pawtucket, RI.
Interment with her late husband at the Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro, will be private.
Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted.
