Pawtucket – Oscar Gosselin, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 30, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Claire L. (Depoutot) Gosselin for seventy years.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Albert and Emma (Gaudreau) Gosselin.
Oscar worked as a lace weaver at the former Seekonk Lace Co. and Bodell Lace Co.
He was a dirt bike and hot rod enthusiast and enjoyed collecting and working on antique automobiles.
Oscar was also an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, taking photographs, operating radio-controlled airplanes, camping, fishing and go-cart racing.
Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend.
Besides his loving wife, Oscar leaves four children, Henry Gosselin and his wife, Michele of Massachusetts, William Gosselin of Lincoln, Alan Gosselin and his wife, Marie, of Rehoboth and Karen Gosselin Lopes and her husband, Antonio, of Pawtucket; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was the loving father of the late Doris Durand and the brother of the late Roland Gosselin.
VISITATION will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 5th followed by Services at 6 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.
