Pawtucket – Origene H. Verrier, 97, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Simonne M. (Depot) Verrier. Together they would have celebrated their 75th anniversary this May. Born in Canada, Origene came to the United States in 1952 residing in Manville, Cumberland and Woonsocket before moving to Pawtucket in 1975. He worked at Custom Color, Cumberland for nine years and then as the custodian at St. Cecilia Church, Pawtucket. Origene retired in 1979. Besides his loving wife, Origene leaves six children, Real Verrier in Florida, Gisele Carrier and her husband, Paul of Smithfield, Pauline Carrier and her husband, Maurice of Pawtucket, Rejean Verrier and his wife, Paulette of Smithfield, NC, Roland Verrier in Maine and Diane Lacroix and her husband, Ernest of Pawtucket; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
