Pawtucket – Normand R. Laliberte, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Oak Hill Nursing Home, Pawtucket. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice Laliberte. Together they made their home in Hollywood, Florida for over 30 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Israel and Marie (Pommenville) Laliberte. Normand was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theater. He worked in the horse racing industry in New England, New York and Florida, getting his start at the old Narragansett Race Track in Pawtucket. Normand was also an avid golfer. He leaves numerous nephews and nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. He was the brother of the late Israel (Pete), Louis, Walter, Raymond and Francis Laliberte, Alida Dube Pruneau, Yvonne Bessette, Blanche Duquette, Fedora Mercier, Beatrice Cardosi, Gertrude Sheehan and Florence Judd.
